Debbie ~ Portraits

What a blast!  This is one of my all time favourite clients.  It’s true!  What you don’t know, is that Debbie is my big sister.  Yup, I’m the baby of the family and she’s been looking out for me for years.  Although, I think she still harbours a little bitterness toward me from when I was a baby.  As it turns out, the very first time she held me I peed on her.  OK, OK, in her face.  My bad.

More than a few years have passed since my early peeing days.  I don’t get nearly enough opportunity to spend with my big sis, as a good portion of Canada separates us.  Thankfully she did get back recently and we had a blast doing a shoot together.  I think she looks awesome!  Especially for her age. :~)

Love you Deb.  Please don’t kill me in my sleep.  :~)

Graduation Photos

If you’re like many of my friends you excitedly wait for the school proof images to arrive each year and especially on graduations years.  It’s one of those momentous occasions that you really want to punctuate.  I’m sure like me, you want your children to know just how proud you are are them and that when they work hard and focus, it pays off.  You want a way of tangibly letting them know you love them and you’re behind them all the way!  Grad images are a great way to do that.

Sadly I often speak with parents who are disappointed with the proof images they receive.  I know I’ve felt that way in years past.  It can be disappointing to not have the quality of images that such an occasion calls for.

Well we’re here to help.   We offer custom graduation and senior portraits that can include cap and gown as well as causal interest focused portraits.  Let’s work together to create something memorable, unique and fun that highlights this occasion the way it should be.

Give us a call.

Insane Asylum – Tia

Tia is a true talent.  She takes her modeling seriously while maintaing a wonderful sense of humor.  I’ve had the privilege of working with her off and on for a number of years now and it’s been pure pleasure.  Hard working, honest and kind hearted are just a few of the ways I’d begin to describe Tia.

For this shoot we wanted to have a little fun.  It was time to push the envelop and let the art take us for a ride.  I think we hit this one out of the park with help of our new friend and very talented makeup artist Paloma Lauren.  With these two talented women on the job you just can’t go wrong.

In the midsts of our crazy busy shoot and hilarious antics, we produced some impossible to ignore work, that I’ve given the pet name “Insane Asylum”.  Put on your best “you don’t scare me” face and check it out!

Greek Frappé Coffee and Good Times

Spent some time in the studio with Di awhile back but for some unknown reason failed to tell you about it.  First off we had a great time filled with lots of laughs , experimentation and fun wardrobe.  Di is a gem to work with.  She’s full of life, incredibly kind, adores her family and never shrinks back from a new challenge.  No need to mention that she is also stunningly beautiful; the images speak for themselves.

She came prepared to be daring and that made my job so much easier.  The wardrobe she brought was fun, funky and flattering.  After a few hours of shooting, laughing and drinking lots of Greek frappé coffee here are some of the shots we created together.
