Narayen vs. Jobs – Thoughts On Adobe Flash Part II

Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen was quick to respond to Jobs’ post on the apple site.  Here’s a look at Adobe’s perspective on the issues.  I think MacWorld does a good job of providing an overview of Narayen’s comments up in this post.  Just when you think hope this conflict is going to wind down and people are going to start getting on the same page, there is another flare up.  Ding, ding!  Round 200 and something I think.

Apple vs. Flash- Thoughts On Adobe Flash Part I

For those of you affected by, or enthralled with, the Adobe vs. Apple flash “discussions”, here’s the latest from Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs.  Mr Jobs post reads well and in my opinion brings to light a clearer picture of the state of things.  When situations like this arise there is often so much propaganda and hyperbole to wade through that it’s to daunting a task for the uninitiated.  Suffice to say that a well written post like this is welcome in such a heated discussion.  Be that as it may, it is not without some purposed shots across Adobe’s bow.  In the end, I think this quote for the posting sums it up well.

“Perhaps Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind.”
