Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen was quick to respond to Jobs’ post on the apple site. Here’s a look at Adobe’s perspective on the issues. I think MacWorld does a good job of providing an overview of Narayen’s comments up in this post. Just when you think hope this conflict is going to wind down and people are going to start getting on the same page, there is another flare up. Ding, ding! Round 200 and something I think.

For those of you affected by, or enthralled with, the Adobe vs. Apple flash “discussions”, here’s the latest from Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs. Mr Jobs post reads well and in my opinion brings to light a clearer picture of the state of things. When situations like this arise there is often so much propaganda and hyperbole to wade through that it’s to daunting a task for the uninitiated. Suffice to say that a well written post like this is welcome in such a heated discussion. Be that as it may, it is not without some purposed shots across Adobe’s bow. In the end, I think this quote for the posting sums it up well.
“Perhaps Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind.”
With the upcoming Canadian release of the Apple iPhone in Canada (July 11) I was excitedly waiting Rogers™ announcement of their pricing structure. It finally came last week and my response is a long, low groan. It seems that Rogers™ thinks Canadians should pay more for things then our American counterparts. Or perhaps they think we’re not intelligent enough to go online and see what others are paying.
I’m letting them know what I think by signing a petition that will be presented to them on July 11, the day they release the iPhone in Canada. If you’re feeling frustrated with Canadian mobile pricing plans let your voice be heard by joining the chorus.
