Winter Getaway Part 2

Well I’m alive and well and had a great time on this year’s winter trip.  Every time I go out I learn a little more and grow in  appreciation of the solitude.  The standout highlight of this adventure was waking up eye to eye with a moose about 2.5 meters away.  It was amazing and incredible peaceful to absorb those moments.  A truly unforgettable time.

As promised here are a few shots from our time in Algonquin.  Many thanks to my buddy Lewis for making this year work amidst it’s challenges.

In the midst of portrait shoots and editing sessions we managed to break away into the great outdoors.  Algonquin Provincial Park is one of my favourite escapes and scenes like this are a big part of the reason why.  The busier life the gets the more I find I need time in places like this to get back to basics and centre myself.  I’m so grateful to have such wonderful places so close to home.

Here’s wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful memory-making getaway this summer.
