Open Sky

They came, they saw and they made me laugh!  Open Sky is a local Ottawa band with a great sound that you’ve got to hear for yourself.  I had the joyous pleasure of working with these guys awhile back and we had a blast.  Our session was filled with loads of laughs and lots of fun creative moments.     Check out the images below!

You can find out more about Open Sky at www.openskyband.com If you get a chance to see them live, don’t pass it up.  They got a new CD coming out soon that you won’t want to miss.

Perigee Moon 2011 ~ Ottawa

Like many others I made my way out last night to capture the perigee moon.  It was a really gorgeous evening and I found myself caught between enjoying the moonrise and the sunset.  There were moments I felt a little like I was watching a tennis match.  All and all, it was just a wonderful experience in the crisp night air.  Here are a few images I captured.

Being an early riser (and because Maggie my Yellow Lab needed to pee) I was fortunate enough to also enjoy the moonset.  It was really beautiful.  Here’s a shot of it I took this morning.

Stittsville Christmas Festival Concert 2010

This past Friday I volenteered my photographic services at the inaugural Stittsville Christmas Festival Concert.  The evening was filled with loads of local talent that provided tons of entrainment and heart.  Max Keeping hosted nine variety acts raising money to benefit the Catholic Education Fund Organization(CEFO), working to alleviate poverty in schools. There was music, dancers, seasonal fun & a military tribute during the festival concert.

You can download free images of the evening from my proof section here.  Enjoy!  Take a moment to drop us a note in the comments section to let us know what you thought of the evening and or the images.

Remembrance Day 2010 Stittsville Ontario

Today, I had the honour of attending my local Remembrance Day ceremony here in Stittsville.  Each year Dale Hogan Photography takes pause, to in some small way remember.  Remember the sacrifice, remember the bravery, remember the fallen.

This year, as our way of saying, “Lest we Forget”, we are freely offering the images captured at today’s commemorative service held in Stittsville.   Simply follow this link to our 2010 Remembrance Day Gallery for your free downloadable images.

My sincere thanks to all who have and continue to serve our great nation!

Old School Hollywood Charm

Recently we had a blast working our magic on an old-school hollywood style shoot.  It was really nice to focus on some black & white images for a change.  It’s such a beautiful medium and I often miss working with it.  This young lady is was the star of our shoot and did a fantastic job.  Enjoy!
